We accept the love we think we deserve, I’m pretty sure that Charlie was not molested by his Aunt Helen. But she was molested by someone that she loved. Which is why she lived with Charlies family, and is why she would cry when Charlie asked her what was wrong.

Reread pages 202-209 and you’ll see that he in fact was molested by Aunt Helen.
